It can be a hassel, that's for sure. I used to be done with shopping in about an hour and now it takes me at least 2 hours. Sometimes longer. But it really has made a difference in how much I spend. Even if an item is only $0.25 cheaper here or $0.40 cheaper there...it adds up quickly!Anniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01683694831700151336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7449857304013953075.post-28811270980502229902010-06-04T13:25:02.063-06:002010-06-04T13:25:02.063-06:00Yes ~ expensive and MORE expensive!! We live near...Yes ~ expensive and MORE expensive!! We live near a rather small town and have only two grocery stores to choose from. Well, there's a third one closer to home, but their prices just don't even compare. The one large chain store is cheaper overall than the other ~ a local co-op ~ but I'm finding more and more items that are actually less expensive at the co-op. (plus their selection, organization, and customaer service are way better) I find this really aggravating because I HATE shopping at more than one place, but if I don't want to go over my own weekly budget ($110), I just may have to be willing to start doing it on a regular basis.tammihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03803890115567631062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7449857304013953075.post-15623866359858492792010-06-04T13:19:52.024-06:002010-06-04T13:19:52.024-06:00I've heard that it's considerably more exp...I've heard that it's considerably more expensive in Canada. Heck, when I go home to California I get extreme sticker shock while at the grocery store. We're fortunate to have a lower cost of living here...but the average pay is less too. It balances out for the most part. That deal on eggs was fantastic...I couldn't pass it up! Milk is usually right around $2.00 for a gallon...I don't buy organic, just local.

Do you have a variety of grocery stores to choose from?Anniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01683694831700151336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7449857304013953075.post-91814446225296308492010-06-04T13:07:34.954-06:002010-06-04T13:07:34.954-06:00(if we lived in a larger centre, the prices would ...(if we lived in a larger centre, the prices would be a little lower, but still nowhere CLOSE to what you get to pay!)tammihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03803890115567631062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7449857304013953075.post-37274840311679453142010-06-04T13:04:57.045-06:002010-06-04T13:04:57.045-06:00I cannot get over how little you pay for groceries...I cannot get over how little you pay for groceries!! I've never seen a dozen eggs under $2, a gallon of milk costs AT LEAST $3.98, and the smallest size bricks of cheese cost at least $4. And Manitoba is one of the less expensive Canadian provinces in which to live!!!!tammihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03803890115567631062noreply@blogger.com
